ITN+T is a collaboration between Ordnance Survey, Oracle, University of Maine, USA, and University of Melbourne, Australia. It concerns the extension of the Ordnance Survey Integrated Transportation Network (ITN) to include temporal, dynamic, and event-based components.

The overall objective is to establish the data and system requirements to support travelers’ and transport coordinators’ future needs. The technology will have as its core the Oracle Spatial DBMS.

We are also interested in the impact of sensor networks and embedded computing capabilities on transportation information systems.
