Yes, you can have encounters with crocodiles, snakes, spiders, jelly fish, or sharks in Australia. But not at all seasons and not in all parts of Australia. Most of these animals live in tropical Australia, while Victoria has a Mediterranean climate. Enjoy the conference. You will encounter more likely penguins than sharks at the beach of the bay.
Spiders can live in the gardens and parks, but are rarely dangerous, and reclusive and hide under stones.
