DG/SUM'07 is an international workshop on distributed and mobile spatial computing held in conjunction with COSIT'07, the Eighth International Conference on Spatial Information Theory. The workshop will be held on 19 September 2007, the day before COSIT'07 begins, at Mount Eliza, Melbourne, Australia, the same venue as COSIT'07. Although DG/SUM'07 is a joint workshop (Distributed Geoinformatics '07, chaired by Matt Duckham, Arie Croitoru, and Peggy Agouris, and Sensing, Ubiquity, and Mobility '07, chaired by Lars Kulik and Egemen Tanin) the workshop will be single track with a single submission system, with Patrick Laube as the local organizer. The objective of the joint workshop structure is help encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, bridging the gap between applications and theory in the field of distributed and mobile spatial computing. DG/SUM'07 is supported by ISSNIP, the ARC research network on Intelligent Sensors, Sensor Networks, and Information Processing. ISSNIP will fund a number of student scholarships for attendance at DG/SUM'07. Information about how to apply for these scholarships will be made available shortly. DG/SUM'07 is also an activity of the ISPRS (International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing) working group IV/2 on image-based geospatial information management. |
